Beijing, China
Welcome to Beijing, home of 2008 Summer Olympics!
Beijing is a fascinating capital with a treasure of
beautifully preserved palaces, tombs and relics.
Today enjoy a
Beijing City Tour
featuring
Tiananmen Square,
the symbolic heart of China and gathering place for
the masses. Also see the Olympic Games sites.
Transfer to hotel for a four-night stay. Tonight
enjoy a
Welcome Dinner
with

Day 4:
Great Wall, Beijing by Rickshaw
Visit
one of the greatest man made wonders of the world, the
Great Wall of China.
You’ll likely never forget your first sight of the
Great Wall: one of mankind’s most remarkable feats,
this impenetrable barrier stretches 4,000 miles. This
afternoon enjoy a
Hutong Tour,
where you travel by rickshaw through Beijing’s ancient
alleyways to visit with a local family. (B, L, D)
Day 5:
Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City
This
morning visit the
Temple of Heaven,
a complex of Taoist buildings situated in southeastern
urban Beijing. Here enjoy a traditional
Chinese Exercise Class.
Later visit the
Forbidden City,
the inner sanctum where for centuries Chinese emperors
ruled. Tonight enjoy dinner with fellow travelers.

6:
Beijing at Leisure, Optional Tour
Today is at leisure
to explore the fascinating city of Beijing at your own
pace. Maybe return to Tiananmen Square or visit a
popular market to find some incredible shopping
values. An optional tour including the Summer Palace,
the Lama Place & famous Silk Alley Mall will be

7:
Beijing, Xian
Transfer to the airport and board your short flight to
Xian. Upon arrival enjoy a
Traditional Dumpling Lunch
and demonstration. Later enjoy a
Xian City Tour
featuring The Bell Tower, a stately traditional
building that marks the geographical center of the
ancient capital. (B, L)

8:
Terracotta Warriors
Begin
your day with a visit to the
Ancient City Wall.
Next visit one of the world’s most incredible sights,
the
Terracotta Warriors.
In 1974, while digging a well in a peaceful valley, a
farmer stumbled upon the third century B.C. burial
grounds of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi. An archeological
dig later uncovered an army of more than 8,000 life
sized terracotta statues each with distinctive
physical features. These soldiers have been guarding
their emperor’s underground tomb for over 2,000
years! This evening dinner and entertainment are
included at the
Tang Dynasty Show.

Beijing, Hong Kong Island Tour
Transfer to the airport and board your flight for Hong
Kong. Upon arrival embark on a
Hong Kong Island
Tour
featuring
Victoria Peak
the
Western District,
Stanley Market
and
Aberdeen,
famous for its glorious views of the Harbor. Enjoy
the remainder of day at leisure. (B)
Day
10:
Hong Kong, Flight Home
Day at leisure to
explore amazing Hong Kong. Perhaps some shopping
and/or take an optional excursion to visit he Jade
market and Wong Tai Sing Templeto, famous for its
fortune tellers. Later tonight say Zai Jien
(Good-bye) to China with many fond memories of your
tour. En route cross the International Dateline and
arrive home on same day. (B)
