This
one-of-a-kind event features 16 large-scale
quilt-patterned gardens and 16 oversized quilt murals.
One
garden is using crops to design their mural.
It’s
the first quilt garden on the tour patterned with
beans, rye, wheat, sunflowers, corn, red geraniums and
grass. Middlebury’s town tree is the sugar maple.
To honor the town’s upcoming 100 year
anniversary, the official quilt garden will be planted
in an intricate, colorful “Maple Leaf” pattern.
