Free time to experience Niagara Falls. Indulge your senses in the majesty and magnetism of the Falls. See the beauty, feel the power and hear the thunder as you cruise to the bases of the American and Horseshoe Falls aboard the Maid of the Mist, a boat ride that has thrilled since 1846. Our centrally located hotel will give you the freedom to relax at the room or explore the falls. Continue to the Adirondack Mountains where we’ll overnight at a resort. This evening will be a special welcome dinner.  (B, D)

Oct 1 - Wed:    Adirondack Mountains

Exploring one of New York’s greatest treasures, the Adirondack Mountains. For wealthy entrepreneurs- men like Vanderbilt, Carnegie, & J.P. Morgan fabulous wilderness estates were built in the heart of the Adirondacks so they could live in luxury in the most remote wilderness. Called "the best of its kind in the world," by NYT, the Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake overlooks the lake of the same name. Continue through this spectacular scenery as we cross into Vermont. This evening we will check into our Stowe, Vermont resort. Unpack for two nights. The resort will serve a sumptuous dinner each evening in the elegant dining room. (B, D)

Oct 2 - Thurs:    Stowe, Vermont

Full breakfast at our resort. Visit Rock of Ages, the world’s largest dimension granite quarry. The rest of the day will be a “taste of Vermont” as we visit the Cabot Creamery for Vermont cheddar tasting. We will also visit a sugarhouse for a maple syrup tasting and tour, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream with samples and a visit to a cider mill where we will watch cider being made in an old-fashioned rack and cloth press. Sink your teeth into their world famous cider donuts. Return to Stowe in time for shopping or relaxing back at our resort. Dinner will be served at the resort.  (B, D)

Oct 3 - Fri:    New England Backroads, Bath, Boston, Plymouth

After breakfast we explore more backroads. First stop at the oldest working General store in the US in Bath, NH. Scenes from Currier & Ives will be around every corner with the many covered bridges, briskly flowing streams and quaint idyllic villages in NH. NH has more than 50 covered bridges, making it the epicenter of NE covered bridges. Continue to Boston for a guided panorama tour. Destination, Plymouth area, where we’ll stay two nights.  (B)

Oct 4 - Sat:    Cape Cod, Plymouth

Early start to witness the scenic countryside of Cape Cod. Visit the poignant Kennedy Memorial and catch a rare glimpse of the Camelot era as you tour Hyannisport, home of the Kennedy compound. Time to shop a local village and to visit the Cape Cod National Seashore. This afternoon is at your leisure. You have the option to take yourself back to the time of the Pilgrims. Visit Plimoth Plantation where you will see life at it was in 1627. Dressed pilgrims will be going about their daily life. The second option is to visit the Mayflower II, a full scale replica of the vessel that carried the pilgrims to America.   (B)

Oct 6 - Mon:    Amish Country

Full day guided tour of old-fashioned charm and homespun warmth on our tour of Pennsylvania Dutch Amish country. Forgoing "outside world" luxuries, the Amish who grace our small towns and farmlands present a fascinating and authentic horse-and-buggy contrast to the hustle and bustle of the 21st century. Visit an Amish bake shop, taste fudge and jellies, and visit The Amish Experience–a multimedia presentation and museum gives you a look into the life of the Amish. A typical Amish lunch is included.  (B, L)

Oct 9 - Thu:    Ozark Fall Foliage

Our final day will be a treat as we enjoy the colors of Ozark foliage. Claimed as some of the best in the nation, we will follow the footsteps of Laura Ingalls Wilder and wind through the breathtaking scapes. Our farewell luncheon will surely be a highlight as we reminisce about our fantastic trip through nature’s miracle. Arrive home late afternoon with many memories and an official “Leaf Peepers” certificate!  (B, L)
