Sep 28 - Sun: NWA to
Indiana
Board our spacious,
video and restroom equipped motorcoach bright and
early for your venture to New England. We cross
Missouri and Illinois into Indiana where we’ll
overnight. (B)
Sep 29 - Mon:
Niagara Falls
Continue through Ohio
to Cleveland along Lake Erie. Final stop this evening
will be Niagara Falls. Enjoy our centrally located
hotel within steps of Americas Falls. (B)
Sep 30 - Tues:
Niagara Falls
Free
time to experience Niagara Falls. Indulge your senses
in the majesty and magnetism of the Falls. See the
beauty, feel the power and hear the thunder as you
cruise to the bases of the American and Horseshoe
Falls aboard the Maid of the Mist, a boat ride that
has thrilled since 1846. Our centrally located hotel
will give you the freedom to relax at the room or
explore the falls. Continue to the Adirondack
Mountains where we’ll
overnight at a resort.
This evening will be a special welcome dinner. (B, D)
Oct 1 - Wed:
Adirondack Mountains
Exploring one of New York’s greatest treasures, the
Adirondack Mountains. For wealthy entrepreneurs- men
like Vanderbilt, Carnegie, & J.P. Morgan fabulous
wilderness estates were built in the heart of the
Adirondacks so they could live in luxury in the most
remote wilderness. Called "the best of its kind in the
world," by
NYT,
the
Adirondack Museum
at Blue Mountain Lake overlooks the lake of the same
name. Continue through this spectacular scenery as we
cross into Vermont. This evening we will check into
our
Stowe, Vermont resort.
Unpack
for two nights. The resort will serve a sumptuous
dinner each evening in the elegant dining room. (B, D)
Oct 2 - Thurs:
Stowe, Vermont
Full
breakfast at our resort. Visit
Rock of Ages,
the world’s largest dimension granite quarry. The rest
of the day will be a “taste of Vermont” as we visit
the
Cabot Creamery
for Vermont cheddar tasting. We will also visit a
sugarhouse for a
maple syrup tasting
and tour,
Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream
with samples and a visit to a
cider mill
where we will watch cider being made in an
old-fashioned rack and cloth press. Sink your teeth
into their world famous cider donuts. Return to Stowe
in time for shopping or relaxing back at our resort.
Dinner will be served at the resort. (B, D)
Oct 3 - Fri: New
England Backroads, Bath, Boston, Plymouth
After breakfast we
explore more backroads. First stop at the oldest
working General store in the US in Bath, NH.
Scenes from Currier & Ives will be
around every corner with the many covered
bridges, briskly flowing streams and quaint idyllic
villages in NH.
NH has more than
50 covered bridges,
making it the epicenter of NE covered bridges.
Continue to Boston for a
guided
panorama tour.
Destination, Plymouth area, where we’ll stay two
nights. (B)
Oct 4 - Sat: Cape
Cod, Plymouth
Early
start to witness the scenic countryside of
Cape Cod.
Visit the poignant
Kennedy Memorial
and catch a rare glimpse of the Camelot era as you
tour Hyannisport,
home of the Kennedy compound. Time to shop a local
village and to visit the
Cape Cod National Seashore.
This afternoon is at your leisure. You have the
option to
take yourself back to the time of the
Pilgrims.
Visit Plimoth Plantation where you will see life at it
was in 1627. Dressed pilgrims will be going about
their daily life. The second option is to visit the
Mayflower II,
a full
scale replica of the vessel that carried the pilgrims
to America. (B)
Oct 5 - Sun:
Lancaster, PA
Early start and
departure for Pennsylvania. There will be sightseeing
along the way as time permits. Overnight in Lancaster
area for the next two nights. (B)
Oct 6 - Mon: Amish
Country
Full day guided tour
of old-fashioned charm and homespun warmth on our tour
of
Pennsylvania Dutch Amish country.
Forgoing "outside world" luxuries, the
Amish who grace our small towns and farmlands present
a fascinating and authentic horse-and-buggy contrast
to the hustle and bustle of the 21st century. Visit an
Amish bake shop, taste fudge and jellies, and visit
The Amish Experience–a
multimedia presentation and museum gives you a look
into the life of the Amish.
A typical Amish lunch is included.

Oct 7 - Tue: West
Virginia
We depart Amish country
and head westwards towards home. Sightseeing as time
permits. Overnight in West Virginia. (B)
Oct 8 - Wed:
Kentucky Hills and Bluegrass
Through the rolling bluegrass of Kentucky, enjoy
glimpses of horse ranches and fall landscapes. We will
stop at a local town for lunch and a chance to visit a
Bourbon whiskey distillery.
Continue eastwards where we will overnight. (B)
Oct 9 - Thu: Ozark
Fall Foliage
Our
final day will be a treat as we enjoy the colors of
Ozark foliage.
Claimed as some of the best in the nation, we will
follow the footsteps of Laura Ingalls Wilder and wind
through the breathtaking scapes. Our farewell luncheon
will surely be a highlight as we reminisce about our
fantastic trip through nature’s miracle. Arrive home
late afternoon with many memories and an official “Leaf
Peepers”
