Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Los
Angeles – Crystal Cathedral
Depart
Northwest Arkansas on your flight to Los Angeles
arriving early afternoon. Transfer to hotel.
Welcome dinner at hotel.
Transfer to
Crystal Cathedral for “The Glory of
Christmas”,
a Southern California holiday tradition. You will
have excellent reserved seats inside the Crystal
Cathedral as the story of the Nativity is told through
the creative blend of a cast of more than 100 actors,
with live animals, flying angels and special effects.
Prerecorded orchestration by the London Symphony as
well as the Cathedral’s world-renowned pipe organ,
provide the musical backdrop in the all-glass
structure. (D)
Day 2: Hollywood Tour
- Getty Center
Hollywood highlights tour
including Wilshire corridor, La Brea Tar Pits,
Graumann’s Chinese Theatre and the Walk of Fame.
Lunch at Lawry’s Prime Rib Restaurant
with choice of prime rib or grilled salmon. Continue
to
Getty Center
for self guided visit. Your experience begins with a
tram ride to the summit. You will see paintings by
Rembrandt, Goya, Monet and Cezanne, and drawings by
Michelangelo and Degas, to name a few. (B, L)
Day 3: New Year’s Eve –
Universal Studios or Reagan Museum – Party
Today
you have a
choice of visiting Universal Studios
including admission and tram tour or Ronald Reagan
Presidential Library
including admission, self guided tour and lunch.
Return to hotel to get ready for the party of the
century! The
Gala Party
this evening is filled with elegant dining, dancing to
the sounds of a live band, and the fun and games of a
live “Monte Carlo” style casino. There are hats and
party favors for all and a champagne toast to ring in
the New Year! (B, D)
Day 4: New Year’s Day –
Rose Parade
Boxed
breakfast served en route to parade. Enjoy the 120th
Tournament of Roses Parade
from your reserved grandstand seats including seat
cushion and souvenir program. After the parade enjoy
a
New Year’s champagne brunch.
Rest of day at your leisure. (B, L)
Day 5: Showcase of
Floats - Choice of Aquarium of Pacific or Crystal
Cathedral
Experience the fabulous
Showcase of Floats
up close. You will have several hours to stroll
through the outdoor display to see the intricate work
that goes into building these grand floral
masterpieces. This afternoon choose between
Aquarium of the Pacific or Crystal
Cathedral Tour. Farewell dinner and entertainment
this evening. (B, D)
Day 6 – Travel Home
After breakfast, depart
for Northwest Arkansas bringing back many memories of
this once in a lifetime fabulous holiday tour. (B)
